Maccas Mad Crew

Our team is called Maccas Mad Crew in honour of my dear brother, Brian McMillan and my Mum, Nancy McMillan. We grew up with the nickname Macca so it’s very appropriate for our team. We also come from Irish heritage so we know how to laugh and enjoy life which makes us a little crazy at times. My brother was a man that was loved and respected by everyone. He never stopped smiling and making jokes but he had a heart of gold and always put others’ needs ahead of his own. We will miss him dearly so will be walking to honour his memory. My mum was also someone who loved life and we can still hear her laughter when we think of her. She was so strong, so courageous and loved dearly by us all. Life is not the same without her or my brother but this walk is our way of remembering them and contributing to the creation of a cancer-free future for all of us.
