The Rotary Club of Ingleburn has been supporting the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer, Macarthur since it’s inception.
We usually run the Saturday Lunch BBQ but have been unable to do that in the last two years. Last year we held a socially distanced mini-walk at Milton Park in Ingleburn and raised enough money to give $4,000 to the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer, Macarthur and sold raffle tickets.
We are very supportive of the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer, Macarthur as they do a very important job in providing equipment and services to the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, the Oncology Ward and the Paediatric Ambulatory Care Unit at Campbelltown Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit and associated Outreach service at Camden Hospital to assist in the treatment, care and comfort of children and adults dealing with cancer.
This year we will be running some virtual walking events (that’s where we walk at the same time, but in different locations) and if restrictions ease we may be able to conduct another mini-walk and BBQ at Milton Park. If you like you can walk, run or cycle when you can, set a daily, weekly or monthly distance goals, it’s up to you, but lets all get out there and have some fun. So please sign up to our team, get some sponsorship and do some fund raising for the great local charity throughout October…
