We join the 24 hour fight against cancer for two reason; the first is to remember Dad.  We lost Dad to cancer 11 years ago and I miss him everyday.  I miss his smile, his sense of humour and his unconditional love for us.  Because of this dreadful disease, my son Zachary was never able to meet his Grandfather, a man I’m sure he would of admired and loved.  When we as a family walk the event we dedicated those 24 hours to him.
The second reason is to raise as much money as we can for they fight against cancer.  Cancer affects everyone and I want to see the day when cancer no longer exists.
The 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur is an annual  fundraising movement that exists to provide the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre, the Oncology Ward and the Paediatric Ambulatory Care Unit at Campbelltown Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit and associated Outreach service at Camden Hospital with the extra services and equipment they need to assist in the treatment, care and comfort of children and adults dealing with cancer.
All money raised stays in Macarthur – Totally Volunteer Committee – Expenses covered by Local Businesses and Service Clubs
