For the ninth year running, champion Paralympian and 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur supporter Paul Nunnari has completed a mammoth wheelchair push to six local schools.
The annual Paul Nunnari Wheelchair Push raises awareness for the 24 Hour Fight and encourages school students to attend the charity’s marquee walkathon.
This year, Mr Nunnari – and a crew including a police escort, C91.3 hosts and 24 Hour Fight committee members Warren Morrison and David Eckford – went from Cawdor Public School to St Paul’s Catholic Primary School, Camden South Public School, Magdalene Catholic High School, St John the Evangelist Primary School and Beverley Park School.
Mr Nunnari addressed school students and spoke about cancer and the important work the 24 Hour Fight does to raise money for cancer services in the Macarthur region.
A group of Magdalene students have already committed to fielding a team at the walkathon on October 14-15.
